Founded on the observation that a lack of insight — the unawareness of one's illness and of the need for treatment — hinders recovery, Brief Insight Therapy aims to restore this awareness in order to foster therapeutic adherence. Its preferred indications are schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and addictions.
