Born in the 1970s in response to the cognitive deficits of psychiatric disorders, notably schizophrenia, CRT aims to strengthen impaired cognitive functions through training: memory, attention, planning, organization. Individualized, it uses structured learning techniques. Its indications include schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression.
