REBT

Created by Albert Ellis from 1955 onward, REBT rests on the ABC model: it is not events but the irrational, rigid and musturbatory beliefs we form about them that cause distress. Through disputing, it replaces these beliefs with flexible preferences. Indications: anxiety, phobias, depression and low self-esteem.
